Act 3
The Great Strategy Guide (Act 3)
Act 3 Overview
The battlefield of Act 3, East Midland, features key bases with low unit capacity.
These chokepoints often require you to hold the line with small squads while your larger reserve forces push back the enemy.
Take advantage of the 3-tile movement across connected supply lines to mount effective counter offensives against enemy breakthroughs.
Note: You cannot capture Sanjay until you have captured Carmine (though defeating him is possible).
Follow this capture order is: Carmine → Erle → Sanjay → Brown.
➤ Step 1: 3 A.C.E. units appear — take out the southern one first.
➤ Step 2: Repel the enemy ambush and capture Carmine.
➤ Step 3: Capture Erle, Sanjay, and Brown.
The Great Strategy Step 1: Defeating the A.C.E. Units
[Basic Strategy]
A.C.E. units will suddenly appear and attempt to cut off your supply lines.
If Ciaran has joined your team, the first Airship Phase will unlock the Hustle Stream.
Use this to increase your units’ movement and intercept the A.C.E.s before they disrupt your supply lines.
・Launch an all-out attack on the southern A.C.E.
・Use the Hustle Stream to reach them.
・Gather 5 units at River Gate and strike the A.C.E.

Move through southern bases and focus on reinforcing River Gate, which can hold 5 units.
If Ciaran is on your team, you’ll gain access to the Hustle Stream right at the start.
Use it to quickly move 5 units into River Gate.
This A.C.E. is infantry, so artillery-focused squads are ideal.
Recommended team: Scarlet, Lily, Rebecca, Geena, and Nicol, though other setups can also work depending on your preference.
The A.C.E. will use strong area attacks like Bullet Barrage, which lowers your attack power, and Death Wish, a powerful single-target strike used on turn 3.
Focus fire to quickly reduce their HP and weaken their offense. (TIPS: About HP)
・Defeat the 2 remaining A.C.E. units
・Use 5 units at River Gate to hold and repel
・Occupy Big Bridge to reconnect supply lines
・Attack the final A.C.E. from a 4-unit base

The other 2 A.C.E.s will act independently — aim to isolate and eliminate them one by one.
The first wave from the south includes a cavalry A.C.E.
Concentrate 5 infantry-based units at River Gate to defend.
Meanwhile, move to occupy Big Bridge (②) and restore supply lines.
A.C.E. Unit Types
Cavalry A.C.E.: Uses Infiltration Agony to stun a single target.
Uses Disruptive Raid, an AoE that lowers all units’ defense and speed.
Artillery A.C.E.: Uses Bombastic Revelation, an AoE that reduces MP gain rate for all units.
The Great Strategy Step 2: Capturing Carmine
[Basic Strategy]
Triggering an event by moving into either Hill Side or Mid Canal will cause a massive encirclement attack.
Begin by retreating and regrouping before launching a counterattack.
・Use characters other than Scarlet and Lily to push forward.
・From Canal Gate, advance northward with units excluding Scarlet and Lily.
・Once enemies appear, retreat as far as you can to the Canal Gate and reorganize your formation.

Capture the 2-unit base near the river mouth (① Canal Gate) and use defensive units like Geena or Rebecca to push northward while fending off enemy squads.
When a unit enters the second base (Hill Side or Mid Canal), the map opens up and a large enemy force appears.
・Regroup while securing key defensive bases.
・Don’t panic if isolated units are defeated—wait until they respawn and stabilize your formation.

After the enemy appears in force, isolated allied units may get defeated.
All units except Scarlet and Lily will respawn after a set number of turns. Focus on maintaining supply lines and aim to capture ① North Hill.
Avoid aggressive tactics. Instead, wait for reinforcements to return and push forward cautiously.
・Sanjay & Carmine Sibling Encounter
・First, capture the 凸-shaped base.
・When Carmine appears, try capturing her from the Newport direction.

A few turns into this phase, Carmine appears at ① Grace Gate West and Sanjay appears at ② Mountain Range Base.
Neither will move immediately, so prioritize capturing the surrounding bases.
Use a 2-unit force to hold the 凸-shaped base and gather 4 units at ③ North Midland.
Once your forces are ready, begin your assault on ④ Newport.
After capturing ④ Newport, Carmine will move to attack next turn. Use Scarlet and Lily to attempt a capture.
・Capturing Carmine & Securing the Drawbridge
・Watch out for her guards. Be wary of Carmine’s buffs and healing.
・If your occupation progress is lagging, use Capture Stream on your current base to bait and capture her when she attacks.

Carmine’s only attack is throwing a stick, which deals minimal damage, so focus on breaking through her healing and capturing quickly.
If you haven’t occupied the necessary base, use Capture Stream on the fortified base your army occupies, then capture her as she advances. Capturing Carmine allows Sanjay to become capturable.
Once you capture Sanjay, both will join your squad.
Also, securing ① Grace Gate West activates the drawbridge, making it unnecessary to march from the limited-access southern base (Canal Gate).
The Great Strategy Step 3: Capturing Erle, Sanjay, and Brown
[Basic Strategy]
When Erle appears as a hidden unit, fall back temporarily and prepare to capture or defeat her.
・Erle Appears & HQ Defense
・General Erle appears near Scarlet’s HQ in Elysia.
・Use Hustle Stream or Stalling Stream to shift your main force near Dhamlin.
・Don’t fixate on holding the front—you can reclaim it later.
・Gather 5 units at Dhamlin to intercept Erle.

After a certain number of bases are occupied, Erle will appear around Elysia in the south. She can reduce 2 ★ from a base upon capture and will march directly toward HQ.
Either use Hustle Stream to return to Elysia or Stalling Stream from ② East Port to delay Erle while regrouping your forces at ① Dhamlin.

Erle uses powerful skills like: “Illusion Waltz”: Randomly stuns a unit.
“Idealized Onslaught”: Lowers ATK/DEF/MOB of the target and prevents counterattack.
She’s a tough opponent, so don’t hesitate to abandon the East Midland front to bring as many troops as possible to handle her.
If she’s too tough to take down normally, chip away using Delegated Combat before switching to Command for a precise capture.
Even if captured, Erle won’t join your party right away, but she’s a strong asset—be sure to get her.
・Force Reorganization
・After capturing or defeating Erle, push north again.
・Use Grace Gate West as a foothold to begin the Sanjay offensive.

Most players will have withdrawn their front to Elysia to handle Erle. Once she’s dealt with, reclaim key bases and regroup near the drawbridge.
Defend ① Big Bridge and ③ North Bridge with just 2 units each, and concentrate the rest at ② Grace Gate West. From here, launch your assault on ④ Mountain Range Base where Sanjay is located.
・Capturing Sanjay
・Use Grace Gate West as a base to aim for North Peak Base.
・North Peak Base can hold 5 units—gather your anti-Sanjay force here.

Once Grace Gate West is secured, head toward Sanjay.
His base (usually Mountain Range Base) is directly south of ① North Peak Base, which can house 5 units.
Concentrate your forces there and begin the attack.
Sanjay will attack if you move into an adjacent base, so use units that can survive a turn in enemy range.
He is infantry, so artillery units are most effective.

Sanjay’s deadly AoE attack, “Imperial Tactical Fire,” can devastate your team, but it weakens his ATK/DEF afterward.
Use Geena’s skills to boost your team’s defense or quickly reduce his HP with focused fire.
・Capturing Brown
・If you lost troops during Sanjay’s capture, regroup before pushing forward.
・Carmine is a valuable healer—feel free to include her when going after Brown.

Once Sanjay is captured, Carmine will join you next turn.
Her healing abilities are vital and may make it more efficient to go straight for Brown instead of recapturing lost supply lines.
Decide your approach based on your remaining forces.

Brown has powerful counterattacks.
His EX Skill “Come at me, you dogs!” sharply reduces the ATK and MOB of enemy units.
He also uses a strong AoE “Line of Fire.” We recommend reducing his HP with concentrated attacks to lower his threat level before attempting a capture.
