“The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily” The Great Prologue ⑤ ~ The People of the Empire ~
Hello!
This is the development team of The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily.
Many characters appear in front of Scarlet and her allies. Some stand in the way and some stand alongside…
In this edition of “The Great Prologue,” Lady Scarlet and Lily-chan will be introducing the colorful cast of characters from the Empire.
We’ve greatly increased the amount of voiced lines compared to the demo, and hope to deliver a more immersive story.
(*It’s not fully voiced, but they do talk quite a bit… I think!)
We’d be delighted if you imagine their voices and look forward to your encounters with them.
Now then—
Lady Scarlet and Lily-chan, take it away!
▼The Kind Sister of the National Church
Hm? A non-combatant?
Apparently she’s a sister of the Empire’s National Church.
She serves as a high priestess.
Ah, the one Gwyn is close with.
I haven’t met her myself, but I’ve heard about her.
Wow, that’s rare these days.
In the Republic, the separation of church and state has really progressed.
Well, it’s a national religion.
You can’t separate them.
I wonder how close she is with Lord Gwyn?
She’s sometimes invited to local charity work,
and other times acts as an advisor for policy-making.
Sounds like they’re really close.
He should’ve just married her.
You can’t marry a nun!
But wow… her neckline and shoulders are really…
Is that really a type fashion for someone who’s taken a vow of chastity?
I guess even the prince is still a man, huh?
He’s such a stick-in-the-mud though…
▼Twin Commanders of the Police Corps
Emmmmmmmm
You’re traumatized just from being seem suspicions?
This one’s one of Gwyn’s personal Police Corps commanders.
What exactly do the Police Corps do?
They’re an armed force belonging to the military.
They patrol civilians like regular police,
but they also have authority to investigate the military itself.
Ah, so they’re also in charge of counterintelligence.
Of course, one may wonder if someone this young is really up to the task…
…Is the Empire suffering with a personnel shortage?
Gwyn doesn’t get much support from the aristocracy.
Oh. So it’s their job to interrogate every suspicious person?
Guess that’s why we were suspects on the night of the incident… Just doing their job.
He’s absolutely loyal to Gwyn and trustworthy…
He doesn’t like me.
That much is obvious without saying.
Owwwww!
Area attacks… those are a pain.
Hurts more when it’s us getting hit.
That’s the military police for you… Relentless.
I wonder if the other officer is just as tough…
That’s the other twin.
No… Scary.
Together, they’re Gwyn’s sword and shield.
This one’s the sword; aggressive and throws out debuffs. Nasty combo.
I’m already not looking forward to the next one.
▼Beautiful Vice Commander of the Police Corps
Wait whaaaaat?
It’s just the same face, calm down.
Unlike Sapphirus, she’s calm and reasonable.
Though her intuition is pretty sharp.
Still scary.
…But she sure acts cute around Gwyn.
She does have a lady’s side.
I haven’t really felt disliked from her, now that I think about it.
Oh? Was she kind to you?
She did give me an incredibly disappointed look once.
…That might be worse than being hated.
Her brother guards Gwyn’s immediate vicinity, while she handles incident investigations.
They split their duties.
She’s young, but seems earnest—feels responsible for her position,
and is well-trusted by her subordinates…
What a hard-working person.
She’s truly Gwyn’s right hand.
Her investigation logs are neat,
and she personally organizes files too.
…She might have a rough past.
A hardcore supporter-type.
The twins together are a nightmare.
One spreads debuffs, the other buffs their allies and stabilizes everything.
Yikes.
Still, I’d love to have her on our side.
Well, that depends on how she feels about me…
Impressions don’t matter in war.
Just capture her. Everyone’s a prisoner after all.
You’re the scariest one here.
▼Charismatic Military Band Musician
Ohhh. Another charming-silver, different from your father.
He’s a war survivor.
A monster, really.
…The type that’s popular with a certain crowd of girls.
Back to the stage play stuff again?
Yup.
But he carries himself like a gentleman,
stands tall. You can tell he’s no ordinary person.
According to my father,
they used to be such close comrades you could call them blood brothers.
He’s retired now but remains as a reserve commander.
What’s that baton for?
In the old wars, military bands would play music for troops to march in step.
He was the conductor back then.
Ahh… the Penrose family’s… line infantry and all that… I get it now.
He’s seen more war than anyone.
He’s in a different league.
Ugh, he gives me a really bad feeling with his buffer.
We need to take him out first. He’s dangerous.
And he buffs the entire unit.
This is real bad.
The only saving grace is that he’s artillery.
I’m cavalry, so I have the advantage.
Super effective.
Let’s hope we don’t get caught by the buffed units surrounding him…
…Don’t go predicting grim futures like that.
…I’ve had enough brute force for one day.
Any fun trivia about him…?
Oh, it says here his instrument of choice is the saxophone.
Wonder if he plays in some run-down bar?
That kind of life’s cool too, honestly.
How was that?
The people introduced this time are sure to use all sorts of tactics to trouble Scarlet and her allies.
Across the Empire, you’ll find strategic terrain like the fortress “Great Wall” shown last time, as well as movable bridges over canals, like the one in this map.
With limited forces, how will you establish supply lines and take on powerful enemies?
And will capturing enemy commanders help clear Scarlet’s name?
We hope you’ll look forward to the full story.
Until then, thank you for your continued support of The Great Villainess: Strategy of Lily.
